Big & Small Prints
February 26 - March 5, 2026
Exhibition Statement
Big & Small Prints brought together work by Denison Visual Arts students from Large Scale Print Projects and Introduction to Etching. The exhibition placed ambitious large-format works beside smaller printed studies, allowing differences of scale, pressure, surface, and detail to speak across the gallery. Installed together, the prints showed how process can shift from intimate mark-making to wall-sized image making. The show emphasized printmaking as a flexible studio language, capable of repetition, variation, texture, and bold graphic presence. It also presented the gallery as a shared classroom space, where student experiments could become a public exhibition.
Participating students: Hayden Brashear, Emma Carr, Kaitlyn Gregory, Colleen Kearns, Amelia Keng, Marshall Lehman, Charlie London, Yuvelk Lopez Garcia, Stella McKitrick, Mark Moore, Julie Newhouse, Z Nguyen, Monica Olvera, Kayla Patla, Mac Quimbar, Lily Reaser, Dov Scheinbach, Jonah Sela, Ryan Sharifi, Mackenzie Sullivan, Kelsey Sweetland, Maya Thompson, Rebecca Van Marter, Mel Wienandt, and Amelia Woodard.
